Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT)

Endo-Venous Laser Obliteration Therapy

An innovative treatment exclusive to the Windsor Vein Centre

Endovenous Laser Therapy (EVLT) offers a minimally invasive alternative to traditional varicose vein stripping. At the Windsor Vein Centre we use it to treat the long saphenous vein, short saphenous vein, and lateral thigh perforating vein.

The physician makes a single small puncture just below the knee and uses laser energy to seal and close the affected vein. The procedure is performed in our clinic under local anesthesia and takes about an hour. Most patients return to normal activity within a day and back to work within one to three days, with no restrictions when they return.

EVLT at the Windsor Vein Centre has a success rate of over 98% and is guaranteed for five years. The fee is lower than most clinics and includes sclerotherapy and any follow-up visits required.
