Endo-Venous Laser Obliteration Therapy:
An Innovative Treatment Exclusive to the Windsor Vein Centre

At the Windsor Vein Centre, Dr's Iannicello and Speirs have introduced the Endo-Venous Laser obliteration of the long saphenous vein, short saphenous vein, and lateral thigh perforating vein as treatment alternatives. Endo-Venous Laser obliteration offers many patients a minimally invasive alternative to traditional varicose vein stripping. These procedures allow the Physician to make a small single puncture wound just below the level of the knee and allows the saphenous vein to be sealed and vaporized with Laser energy. The procedure is performed at the Windsor Vein Centre, using local anesthesia and requires approximately an hour to perform. Patients' can return to normal activity within a day and can usually return to work within 1-3 days. There are no restrictions to the patient's activities when they return to work.
